FAME LAB PROGRAM

FameLab is one of the world's largest contests in the field of scientific communication.

The purpose of the competition: to inspire, motivate and develop the ability of young scientists and engineers to actively interact with the public and stakeholders. Effective communication in the field of science can change stereotypes, increase interest and, of course, justify state funding for research.

In Kazakhstan, the British Council successfully implements FameLab in partnership with Chevron.

Any person between the ages of 21 and 40 who works or receives an education in technology, engineering, medicine, biology, chemistry, physics or mathematics can take part in the competition. Applications are accepted from both private and public sector employees.

The competition is open to:

lecturers and researchers in the field of natural sciences, engineering, and mathematics, including teachers with a scientific degree specializing in the exact sciences;

people working in the field of the implementation of scientific methods, engineering technologies or mathematics (for example, patent specialists, statisticians, production organization consultants); students studying natural sciences, mathematics, or engineering at universities between the ages of 21 and 40;

people who are engaged in the implementation of scientific methods, mathematics or engineering in the armed forces or government departments;

people who implement scientific methods, mathematics, or engineering in manufacturing or business.

Applications for FameLab Kazakhstan are accepted annually.
